I worked with GE Money twice, between
2007 through 2009 and then 2014.
During 2014, my primary responsibility
was to get the hardware/ software platform upgraded from Windows 2003 to
Windows 2008.
This included 40 plus custom
applications, a complete sql database (from sql server 200 to sql server
2008) as well as draw an upgrade path for FileNet Image Services 4.2 to new
servers.
Below is what I have done during 2007 and
2009.
GE RSF (Retail Sales and Finance) has a
custom set of applications that is utilized by their funding processes.
Dealers and Consumers fax/mail sales slip invoices and system processes
them and sends batch jobs to FDR to fund these loans.
The System is integrated with Survayor
and FDR for processing authorizations and feeds data to Textron as well.
Current Infrastructure uses Capture 4.0
for scanning and Facsys 5.1 for incoming Faxes to initiate Origination
processes.
My responsibilities include Production
support (existing applications and Image Services 3.6), enhancements/change
controls to existing applications and developing new processes including
applications/ process that communicate with Tandem, Gentran and FDR and on
call level 1 support.
Migration to P8 platform is also planned
and current enhancements are done in accordance with the P8 migration path.
Current production environment includes
Image Services 4.1, Reports Manager 5 and Panagon IDM Desktop 4.0 and
custom set of applications setup.
There are about 16 custom applications
written in VB 6.0. Apps also share custom written DLLs for logging, database
interactions, FDR transactions (credit card auths), tandem communication,
facsys clients, and a huge custom workflow application that RSF utilizes to
handle its loan approval process.
Migration of custom workflows to P8
Platform is in progress.
Role/ Responsibilities – specifics:
·
Primary
Production Support person for
o FileNet Image Services.
o Set of Custom Applications written in VB 6/SQL 2000
(some communicating with Mainframe systems).
·
Implement
Changes to Applications (design and code).
·
Manages
(from technology perspective), migration of 25 million images from Optical
Platters to Magnetic Storage.
·
Oversee
system reboots twice a month.

The Imaging and Workflow team did this
using FileNet’s BPM and Forms Manager.

four types of Forms. Managers approve the order using a workflow and use
Workitems to keep track on orders.
Reports are generated using Database
Queries (Content Engine Database) since Conagra had a framework in place to
do this.
My responsibilities included:
Building System Interfaces with SAP.
Interfacing with a DB2 Database.
Develop Reports using CE Queries.
Developing eForms and Interfacing them

Worked as a Consultant with Citigroup and
then accepted a full time position at the bank as a VP at their New York
headquarters.
This was Citibank’s initiation of adding
Workflow capabilities to the existing Imaging infrastructure and to add
Case Management capabilities to it
Project is called FIWS (FileNet Imaging
and Workflow System).
FIWS creates cases using manual (e.g.
using a web based form) and automated triggers (e.g. a document scanned
into Imaging repository) that is processed by business users and/or
background services and then closed/archived.
FIWS utilizes LDAP for User
Authentication and supports Single Sign on (SSO) Managed by Netintegrity
Site Minder implementation.
FIWS utilizes .Net based NT Services as
background processes to process calculations that cannot be achieved with
out of the box P8 capabilities (for example calculation of Due Dates for
Cases for specific business groups, Interacting with a legacy system using
MQ).
FIWS is integrated with several legacy
systems using Message Oriented Middleware (MOM) and Transaction processing
centers such as Mailroom, Fax Service Centers and Lotus notes
message-processing group.
FIWS also utilizes several eForms to
collect data from branches and back offices. eForms have approval processes
and in the end are usually integrated with FIWS main workflow application.
My
responsibilities included designing a common form based interface that
could be used for creating multiple eform based application.
This included designing policies (with
custom look and feel using a set of custom JSPs as sidebars) and custom
reports using CE Queries.
My responsibilities included:
Setting up the development environment,
which included FileNet P8 3.0 (AE, CE, PE and PA), Websphere Application
Server and WSAD.
Participate in capacity planning
(Development, Test and PROD environments) to ensure scalability and high
availability.
Writing first version of custom Apps
using VB 6.0 that worked as Robot processes, maintaining multiple existing
applications developed in VB 6.0 (Citismart, GTPS and Reporting tools that
utilized OLAP as Data source).
Designing and developing most of the interfaces
including Interfacing Image Services with P8, Lotus Notes with FIWS and
Mainframe based legacy Systems with FIWS.
FIWS is also interfaced with a People
soft application using a secured Servlet to view content from Image
Services through FIWS using ISRA interaction.
eForms design/ coding / defining workflow
definitions and integrating them with FIWS.
Role/ Responsibilities – specifics:

using Middleware (Websphere MQ) technologies.

My
job was to present a solution, which brought over existing functionalities
and add automated processes to it using FileNet Workflow products.
My
responsibilities included the design of the proposed FileNet P8 based
application and a general architecture to facilitate extensions to this
design (framework and custom processes to integrate with other systems).
Role/ Responsibilities – specifics:
·
Designed a
complete solution that would host multiple ASRS applications on new FileNet

The NYL Service Center Workflow
Application is similar to CBNA FIWS Application. The Service Requests are
entered into the system by different means and worked as P8 WorkItems.
My responsibilities included integrating
Workflow application and existing applications/ systems and optimizing
performance.
The
first Interface is the Interface between Content Engine and the Process
Engine. Documents are added by several means into the Content Engine and
create Workitems into the Process Engine, through the Subscription on the
Document Class.
There
is a small Workflow that is launched by the Subscription (triggered by CE
Events). This creates a Workitem that resides into a Component Queue. The
Component Services processes these Workitems from the Component Queue using
a Java Class (packed into a jar file).
The
java class pulls Information (Policy related) from a database and adds
information to the Workitem in the Component and then dispatches the
Workitem.
The
Second Interface is the Middleware based FT Service Request Processing
System.
Six possible types of Service requests
are stored into Lotus Notes Database. A Mainframe based application sends
these Requests into a JMS/MQ Queue.
The
Listener part of the Interface reads these messages and creates a Document
Object into the Content Engine. The Subscription of this Doc Class creates
Workitems.
Installation
and configuration of ISRA (2.0) on Websphere 5.0.
MIS troubleshooting.
Role/ Responsibilities – specifics:
·
Added
Middleware layer to NYL framework.
·
Designed
and coded process to pickup Lotus Notes messages from a MQ Queue and commit
them as documents in FileNet Content Manager.
·
Wrote
several queries using FNProvider (proprietary FileNet data provider) and
populate Crystal reports.
·
Configured
FileNet for case creation process using MQ messages (configuring
subscriptions, defining additional properties).
·
